Our tariff explained

What is a bag?

Courier bags, or boxes used to group together multiple parcels and items.

Export bags need to be 1000mm x 900mm x 800mm. Import bags we have no size limit.

All our bags are limited to a max weight of 32 kgs

Bag weights?

At CFL, an average import bag weights 26.5kg, and export is 20kg.

Cost per kg? On average our import customers pay around £0.12 a kilo. Compared to cargo ground handlers, on imports we are 50% lower cost!

Volume discounts? When you give us more, we give you more back. E.g. for imports, after 250 bags per month, we give you over a 40% discount. And any bags over 1000 get a further 40% discount.

How

we work

Created by the industry, our business model is pretty unique

In 1983, the courier market looked a lot different to the rapid and efficient one you see today. Moving goods was done by hand using traveller’s baggage allowance, making it complex, costly, and in need of change.

So together, a shareholding of airlines, handling agents, and integrators created CFL. From this heritage and expertise, we’ve become a cost-effective and speedy solution that simplifies moving items from A to B.

Our charities and sponsorships

Heathrow Special Needs Centre

Heathrow Special Needs Centre does incredible work that benefits members of our local community with serious illnesses or multiple and profound disabilities.

The centre runs as a farm with lots of wonderful animals for everyone to enjoy. As well as spending time with the donkeys, horses, goats, and rabbits, visitors can grow vegetables and plant flowers to help keep the farm running.

This is a safe space for people with special needs to socialise, as well as somewhere they can gain work experience and training. We’re delighted that our contributions can help fund this vital cause.

Windsor Cricket Club

Cricket is a much-loved sport for many of our team, customers, and partners. So being able to sponsor WCC was a no brainer.

As well as supporting the WCC team following their promotion to Division 2, our funding will help make practical changes for the wider cricketing community. These include supporting the refurbishment of a female-only changing area and supplying cricket equipment for children whose families may be under financial pressure.

Our funds will also be used to run cricket camps across the school holidays, as well as extra coaching sessions, both of which aim to encourage more females to play the sport.
